Branson Landing 05-22-08

Went to the Branson Landing yesterday evening. Original plan was going to actually go ride Go Karts and stuff, but then we couldn't find the place we were originally going to, so we just ended up at the Landing for about 5 hours.

I only snapped a few pictures, mostly because I only had my Sidekick with me, and its pictures aren't that awesome. But here are the ones I got...

The first four are of the fountain show. This was played to Rob Thomas's "Little Wonders".

And then my traveling companions for the evening (I had a picture of Amanda by herself, but it came out too blurry):

We had a great time. We went and poked around at the shops. Mike and I splashed each other at the fountain and got a little wet. Amanda just watched, bemused.

Funniest moment was in Brookstone when we were looking at the different massagers, Mike grabbed one and started giving me a back massage with it. Then right as I got relaxed he put the effing thing against my crotch and almost made me fall over. It was...stimulating. Hahaha.

After that, we went to dinner where I indulged myself in some tasty rum concoction that the bar made me. After everything, we headed back home.

It was all in all a great trip. Hopefully we can do something like it again sometime...although, I want to go to White Water next time. I'm a sucker for water parks.

Well, time to get packed and showered. I have to go to work tonight and then immediately leave for Springdale, Arkansas for an anime convention that TRS is performing at. I'll be back Saturday night, it's only a one day con.

The entire Branson Landing area used to be my ancestor's farmland. There is a little cemetary somewhere nearby, and if you look on the highest hill in the cemetary itself, there's a memorial to a (I believe) direct line ancestor. Has my surname and everything.

I've never actually been there, just drove by while it was still under construction. Phil and I have plans to eventually drive there and also across the Arkansas border to see more of my family's land. But yeah.. you saw a part of my history! =^-^=;;;;
